Game makers SEGA recently conducted a poll to find who was the top WAG (Wifes And Girlfriends).

Here’s a list of the top 11 WAGS and 1 familiar substitute (partner name and votes in brakets)…

12. (Subs) – Victoria Beckham (David Beckham, Real Madrid) 2%.

Yup, Vicky B has followed in the footsteps of her hubby and has been relegated to just being a subs even though just a few months ago she was recognized as the “Queen of The Wags”

11. – Elen Rives (Frank Lampard, Chelsea) 3%

Chelsea’s Frank Lampard had a horrible World Cup but his gal just about made it into the WAG team.

10. – Colleen Mcloughlin (Wayne Rooney, Manchester United) 3%.

United’s Wayne Rooney watches his Gal get a 3% vote (similar to Elen) to take the 10th spot.

9. – Melanie Slade (Theo Walcott, Arsenal) 5%

He maybe be young and never even played for England in Germany but Theo’s galpal surges ahead of the likes of Colleen, Vicky B and Elen.

8. – Abigail Clancy (Peter Crouch, Liverpool) 6%

The gorgeous 20-year-old Clancy who once admitted taking cocaine is at numero 8, how a guy like Crouch can attract such beauty is beyond me…..

7. – Carly Zucker (Joe Cole, Chelsea) 9%.

Joe Cole scored a sensational goal for England in Germany and his gal scored too, taking the 7th spot.

6. – Toni Poole (John Terry, Chelsea) 9%.

Yet another Chelsea man’s partner makes the WAG squad with new captain Terry seeing his gal grab the 6th place.

5. – Alex Curran (Steven Gerrard, Liverpool) 10%

Stevie G’s gal Alex Curran gets an impressive 10% of the total vote to settle for 5th placing.

4. – Susana Werner (Ronaldo, Real Madrid) 11%

Suprise to see a Susana in the list? well i did say TOP Wag not top England WAG
Even though Ronaldo was labelled a ‘fatty’ in the tournament he managed to score both on and off the field as his beauty takes the 4th place.

3. – Merche Romero (Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United) 12%

A suprising 3rd place for Merche Romero, girlfriend of crybaby and professional diver Ronaldo.

2. – Nicole Merry (Thierry Henry, Arsenal) 14%.

Thierry Henry had an excellent World Cup that saw the French team beat all odds to reach the final, his gal Nicole Merry ain’t to bad either

And the number WAG, which you should have guessed by now now is……

1. – Cheryl (Cole) Tweedy (Ashley Cole, Chelsea) 16%.

Yup, seems like Ash Cole is gonna be the new footy icon, he has all the ingredients that made Becks an icon…playing at a top club, good player and a pop star wife..what else do you need?
