Players Premier League — 27 June 2007

Cesc fabregras Before you start panicking and dart around like a headless chicken, sit back and look at the big picture. As much I loved Henry, this was unavoidable. He just HAD to leave.
In the last 2 seasons I felt that he did not pull his socks up, and the captain’s armband has ballooned his ego to levels where he feels herculean. Without him on the pitch, the team works harder. When he played, the team played through him, and when he doesn’t get the pass he wants, he’ll pout. His body language speaks differently from his oscar-winning visual show of support.

But please, Arsenal fans, don’t get caught in the nonsense that Arsenal FC is going through a meltdown. Wenger’s era has to end sometime, though I feel it would be better if he signs on the dotted line sooner rather than later else it’ll be difficult to motivate the young guns with his departure playing in the back of their minds. Arsenal will survive.
Arsenal Young Guns Replacement? I would like to see Carlos Tevez in an Arsenal shirt. Why? Because Arsenal’s attractive style of play needs a direct player in the box, ala Nistelrooy.
But if there are no new signings when the new season starts, I’m not overly concerned, we have our young guns, and we’ll stick by them.
