Some more transfer news today with Darron Gibson leaving Man United and joining Everton for an incredibly low fee of £1million, possibly rising to £2million based on appearances. Gibson was told that he was free to leave after Paul Scholes came out of retirement, and I feel he’ll be a great addition to Everton. He has a good scoring record (1 in 6 for United), with great technical ability. I don’t think I’ve seen him play at his best as he’s probably someone that needs a lot of games to get up to his level, which he never seemed to get under Sir Alex Ferguson. I’m really surprised at how little the club sold him for, considering he was at one point a potential replacement for Paul Scholes – surely worth a little more than £2million then?

Meanwhile, United have also rejected a bid from Newcastle for want-away starlet Ravel Morrison. Ferguson has stated that Morrison is being too greedy in his contract demands, so the club are willing to listen to offers for him as his contract is up at the end of the season. There are several clubs monitoring the situation, Newcastle bid around £300,000 according to reports.

Another club busy rejecting bids is Tottenham Hotspur, with QPR making an offer for out-of-favour playmaker Steven Pienaar. I think this would make a great signing for Mark Hughes and QPR, but Spurs are apparently unwilling to let the player leave the club.

Oh and it looks like Inter Milan are set to renew their interest in Carlos Tevez after AC Milan pulled out of the deal to sign him on loan due to Pato wanting to stay at the club and not leave to join PSG. Crazy really how he can go from Milan to Inter with the blink of the eye…
