Internet’s been down in the FootyBlog mansions recently, so we were unable to share the story of the Anfield cat…
Apparently its a homeless cat named Kenny who is often spotted around the ground, but this was the first time it made an appearance on the pitch at Anfield. A spoof Twitter was set up after the game, reaching 25,000 followers the next day (is currently above 40,000!).
Bookmaker William Hill has already started accepting bets on the next animal to grace a Premier League match – with a dog the favourite at 6/4…
